Aphasia Support

Every year, The Commerce Team Global invests in projects that make a positive social impact.

In 2024, we collaborated with Aphasia Support, a registered UK charity whose mission is to improve the wellbeing of people with aphasia and their carers by providing tailored speech and language therapy alongside long-term support.

Impact

Brief

The Commerce Team Global wanted to support a small charity with a complimentary new website enabling them to further their mission and growth. We assisted the charity by migrating their existing website from WordPress to Shopify.

Challenges

Aphasia Support’s legacy website on WordPress needed modernising and a fresh look. The organisation has grown from a local Yorkshire-focused project into a larger charity within the UK. The old website not only limited their fundraising potential but also constrained their ability to expand their network and reach people in need.

Our Solution

Our team of experts recommended transitioning the charity to a brand-new Shopify website to reduce maintenance costs, enhance branding and design, and maximise fundraising by better promoting the charity’s activities.

The charity’s payment portals and ongoing maintenance were enhanced by implementing Shopify to ensure the site was manageable and optimised to provide much-needed updates. The new site will support smoother payments from fundraising, donations and those wanting to purchase items from the charity, ultimately contributing to more transactions and income.

This website will support our long-term plans. The charity is keen to grow across the UK, reaching areas where long-term support for people with aphasia is currently lacking. It will help us maximise fundraising income and promote the growth of the charity’s branch network, which is essential to advancing our mission.— James Major, CEO at Aphasia Support
