Brief

As an existing client, Ann Summers approached The Commerce Team Global to develop the Knickerbox website from end to end. The project encompassed a range of tasks including project management, technical and solution architecture, application development, integrations, quality assurance and testing, and post-launch support.

Challenges

  • Migration and data loads from the old website and database
  • The project started in October 2023 and was officially launched on 16 July 2024, on former Executive Chair, Jacqueline Gold CBE’s birthday
  • Consistency of design and on-page customisation, in line with the Knickerbox branding

Our Solution

The new Knickerbox website was developed on a Salesforce Commerce Cloud environment, following page design guidelines, and maintaining Knickerbox branding across the site.

The main project components included the Homepage, Product Display Page, Brand Landing Page, Product Landing Page, checkout process (including shopping cart), customer registration and account management, third-party integrations, back-office functionalities, migration and initial data loads, and a page designer.

Third-party integrations were applied, utilising, among others, Adyen (payments), Loqate (address validation), and Yotpo (reviews and user-generated content).

Our technical team efficiently managed the project from start to finish, establishing a comprehensive project management plan that included daily stand-ups, weekly status reports and functional and technical specifications documents. Finally, they conducted extensive QA testing to verify site development and functional integrations, ensuring the final product was robust and met all specified requirements.
